And From the article above, which compares the USA and UK:

The international comparisons show conclusively that fewer gun owners per capita produce not only fewer murders by firearm, but fewer murders per capita over all. In the case of Britain, firearms murders are 30 times fewer than in the US per capita.

Rick Perry has come out in defense of the “kids” (U.S. Marines) urinating on corpses in Afghanistan. Video here

Isn’t it funny how when republicans want to send them overseas in to war zones they’re “young men and women.” But when they do something revolting and reprehensible in those war zones they’re just “kids.”
I think the funniest part of Rick acknowledging that they’re “kids” is that recently he said: “I would send troops back into Iraq… The idea that we allow the Iranians to come back into Iraq and take over that country, with all of the treasure, both in blood and money, that we have spent in Iraq- because this president wants to kowtow to his liberal leftist base, and move out those men and women…. all of the work we’ve done- every young man that has lost his life in that country will have been for nothing.”
Really, Rick? You want to send more “kids” in to the slaughter? Well, I guess stupid adults make mistakes too…

One wonders what Rick thinks about the mistakes made by all those juvenile offenders sentenced as adults and serving bloated sentences in Texas’ execution-happy prison system…
